Should freshly pumped breast milk be refrigerated before being put in the freezer so the temp is gradually cooled? New to breastfeeding

Not unless you’re combining it with more later. Then you’d need to make sure they’re at the same temp before combining them together

Nope, just lay the bag flat in the freezer. I lay it on top of a box to gaurantee no ridges

I put mine directly in the freezer. I guess I don’t know FOR SURE that it’s correct, but I pumped for a year and never had issues with my milk that way.
