Labor or just a tease?

Question

I'm 38.4 weeks and for the past hour have been having fairly regular contractions with mild cramps. I just generally feel unwell, slight nausea and vaginal pressure. I haven't lost my plug and no water break. Thing is I'm at work, an ER nurse and I work over night... I don't want to leave my fellow staff short if baby girl is just practicing. Thoughts....?

Can you just call labor and delivery or walk up there and see what they think?

I've been having this at 38 + 1, and it seems to be just practice. Obviously I can't say whether it is for you, but you described how I've been feeling so there is a possibility.

I've been having this for two days. 5 min apart at 60-90 seconds long for about 5 hours at a time, then they stop. Good luck!!

How regular? Are you timing them? I never lost my plug nor did my water break, so...
