Positive test even if you miscarry?

I just got my first positive test after my first round of IUI. I'm so excited! I'm going to go get a blood test in the next day or 2, but you have to wait 6-8 weeks before your first appt. so question is: if I miscarry before then will my tests still say positive? I feel like I just want to keep checking before the appointment (dumb I know).

It could because it can take sometime  for the hormones to leave your body

When you miscarry your HCG level leave your body slowly, so you will get a negative test in the end!

If you miscarry you will have red blood with a bunch of clots it will last as long as a normal period,  you'll know something is up.  I hope everything goes smoothly for you!

First congratulations. Second, there is possibility of a missed miscarriage. That is when your baby passes but your body doesn't pass the pregnancy. Also, after a MC/D&C you can still have your (pregnancy) hormones linger, but every body is different and some are faster than others. Easier said than done, but enjoy and don't stress. :)

As one post said, you'll likely know if you have an MC. After that, it takes time for everything to clear out so in that situation, you'd likely go in for regular blood tests until you get back to 0.
