First IUI.....not very optimistic

First month ttc with IUI and so far everything is coming along great on my end. Took clomid days 3-7 and follicle scan yesterday showed 2 mature follicles so doc gave me trigger last night at 10pm and scheduled IUI for tomorrow at 10am.

Problem is that my hubby had the cold and hasn't ejaculated in about 7 days. I told my doc and she said not to worry he can still give his sample for the IUI. But now I'm worried that when we go in tomorrow there will not be many healthy sperms. I feel like the whole cycle will be a waste.

Anyone had an IUI success under similar circumstances? Do you think we should just BD now?

p.s. Is the IUI really like a pap or worse?!
