Are evap lines usually grey and thick?

I thought I had a faint positive I used the one step pregnancy test cheap one from winco and there fore I didn't know until I read about how horrible blue dyes were and how good their giving Evaps and false positives. On my test I got a thick line going down it was kinda grey but there that looked like a plus so I thought oh my god I'm pregnant and people were already telling me congrats and stuff and then I tested not pregnant on the digital😔 no sign of period yet but I'm starting to have doubts which makes me not wanna retest cause terrified its just going to come up negative.
