Would you live in a house that a murder/suicide happened in?

So we just bought a wonderful new home. We have been working on remodels. We found out today from a passing neighbor that there was murder/suicide there 5 years ago. And no... law doesn’t require them to tell us. A woman came home from celebrating her 50th bday and got in an argument with her husband and he shot her then shot himself. Would you live there or would you sell it? I’m almost 6 months and am ready to do some nesting!

Technically, wouldn't every square inch of this country be haunted if all that was required was someone to die or be killed in that spot. Consider all of the wars that have been fought here both by Americans and the indigenous. I would think everywhere would be haunted by now. Enjoy your new house

I don’t see the big deal. All sorts of bad things happen in tons of homes that no one finds out about. Old homes chances are decent someone at some point died there.

Well it'd be very hard to sell again right away, but if I knew before buying I'd probably not... but since the house was already bought then I'd just deal with it

it's not easy to just sell. but it would make me slightly uncomfortable I'd have to cleanse it lol

If only the signs could be totally honest. It would freak me out, not enough to sell, but I'd probably smudge with some sage and have whoever you believe in bless it. I believe places hang on to energy, so that's why I would do the blessing stuff.

My fiancé & I used to live in a house where a man got into an argument at a party that took place at the house. He went outside on the front porch & shot himself under the chin resulting in a bullet hole being put through the roof of the porch that is still their. He killed his self. The house we are at now, we’ve been told a little boy fell from the window of the second floor & died. Their was also apparently a fire here so who knows who all has died in our house. I do know that places like this do not bother me. Spirits have made themselves very known in our home & ive actually gotten some really cool EVPs on my phone of about 3 men & 1 woman. They mean no harm, but they do let us know they are present here. We has living beings do live among the dead...no matter where you are you will & most likely have encountered spirits. Even if you know it or not.

If I found out before buying it I might not have bought it. But seeing how you found out after you bought it, I'd just stay.  Selling a home and then re-buying and moving isn't a fast and easy thing to do.
