Spinal block not working?

Hi with my first 3 years ago I had to have elective section due to bicornuate uterus and her being breech.

So when I spoke to the anaesthesiologist I told him that local anaesthetic in the past hasn’t always worked such as in my toe when I had surgery.

He said a spinal block was different and he’s never had one not work.

Long story short and 3 nerve hits later, it worked on my right side but not my left and I felt the incision being made so had to be put to sleep.

My question is, I’ve been told I have to have another section will it work this time? Has anyone had same experience and then it work fine the next time?

I really don’t want to be put to sleep again.
