Is the sex really everything

So there is this guy whom I said yes to when he asked me to be his girlfriend.

We had been communicating for about 3 weeks till we had our first official date say about a month ago. On the second date, he said he really liked me since starting to talk to me and that he didn't want to play games or waste time making me his, because he knew he had found a great woman. This melted my heart and I said yes.

Now fast forward to after a few dates. On one date one thing leads to another and I invite him in to my apartment when he drops me home. When we get in and start to get intimate he confesses to having not been intimate say over a year. I was shocked because he is an amazing and charming guy. But Anywho he comes during oral and that's it for the night. The next time he also comes really quickly.

I am a slight sex freak. While I enjoy his company and honestly he is an awesome boyfriend, but sex and good sex matters to me. We are working on it and we are trying to communicate but what if we don't reach the point where both of us can enjoy the sex?
