Would you let your SO deliver your baby?

My husband's has *helped* deliver 2 babies. He's a paramedic. He wants to deliver our baby. I think I'd rather the midwife do it. What would you do?

I think it would make for a good story/experience for both of you. Definitely would be a unique situation, it’s not everyday a man delivers his baby. 
But I would definitely want to be near a doctor/midwife in case things don’t go as planned.

My husband and I are both paramedics. We have delivered many babies between the two of us. There is no way I’d have a delivery anywhere other than a hospital with anyone other than a doctor.

Unless he is well trained on deliveries I would not. If he wants to be involved/super hands on talk to your provider about ways to include him. Maybe have him catch the baby and cut the cord.

Hell yes, I told my husband it wasn’t an option, planned to free birth but he talked me into a midwife..my next one it will be either him or me catching ☺️

My dad legit delivered my brother. The birth certificate even has my dad’s name for the doctor. It was definitely not on purpose but has made stories more interesting!

I would love it if he did! He says no but I think he would want to help given the opportunity.
