I had something very very similar at 8 weeks.  Called my doctor and had an ultrasound the next day... turned out everything was fine, they said it was old blood from a bruise in my uterus maybe, and baby is still good now (currently 10weeks).  But yeah I would call your OB just to be on the safe side.

glad everything was okay! i had a lot of bleeding in my first trimester, sometimes with clots and it was super scary. everything was always fine, but it’s always better to get checked if you’re worried just in case.

I had the same thing this morning and the nurse line said it could be irritation to your cervix (I’m not having any associated cramping). She said I could go to urgent care or the ER but my ER copay is $200 and I don’t want to pay that much to find out I’m miscarrying if that’s the case. Mine only looked like this first thing in the morning and I wonder if some blood pooled while laying flat and then all came out at once when I got up to go to the bathroom. I’ve had a mc in January and really hoping this isn’t a repeat but I guess only time will tell. I’m 6 weeks now.
