Guys are confusing

So I met this guy at a friends flirted but shut him down without realizing it (kinda drunk not sure what happened) anyway I actually kinda liked him so I added him on social media (fb and instagram) a month or so goes by and he messages me on fb we talk for a couple days....day or so went by nothin then he started a convo so I was like ok I’m not annoying him lol well since then if we talk I’ve started the convo......when we would talk it seemed like we were having the same convo until the last couple convos they actually seemed flirty and gettin to know each other..........I’m just wondering if this is normal or should I just move past.....oh and we’re 6 hrs from each other so that doesn’t help......if you made it this far you are amazing!!
