Anyone else decide to have their baby natural? I had an epidural with my first and it was a bad experience so I decided to try and do this one natural. Well. Baby girl was born early Saturday morning and I did it! Anyone else done both and prefer natural with no pain meds?

Going natural was the best decision! Once you get over that transition it’s a breeze! I loved being able to get up right after, shower, and feel normal

I had all three of my babies with no epidural. Ppl say omg how did you do it? I say I’m really just scared of epidurals. No lie. I’d rather power thru contractions than to have a huge needle in my back and be numb like that. So I’m not super strong, just a scaredy cat haha.

I had an epi with my first and then with out epi with my next two. I much prefer with out the epi because recovery is so smooth and labor was shorter.

Had my first girl natural unmedicated and also had my second two weeks ago unmedicated as well! I had seen the documentary Business of Being Born years ago and always knew I didn't want to have an epidural, also didn't want a hospital birth in fear of unnecessary interventions. My bestfriend had 3 epidurals with each of her kids and always tells me she wishes she had my courage to do it without because now she is stuck with bad back pain and back spasms because of them. I also could not imagine trying to push a baby out without feeling how you are pushing. It sounds mind boggling to me and impossible lol my first was almost a 48 hour labor from start to finish with 28 mins of pushing and my second 8 hours start to finish with 6 mins of pushing. 48 hour one was definitely the easiest in terms of the power of the contractions, it was so gradual in comparison to my 8 hour one. 8 hour one was wayyy more instense, but still very much doable since it is the power of my own body. I remember saying Thank Goddd when she finally slithered out hahaha

I had 2 epi’s and this baby I had him all natural. It went by so much quicker I only had a 3 hour labor and pushed him out in 3 pushes. It was tough but I’d do natural again.

My first was born with no pain meds and I planned this second baby to be the same but everything went the opposite way. I was induced with my first and only had contractions in the front so I was able to control them. This time around baby was sunny side up and the back labor was HORRENDOUS!!! I made it to 5cm and immediately asked for the epidural. I was disappointed right after getting it, i cried with the nurse oh I was a mess! But overall I enjoyed the birth a lot more because I was relaxed and was able to rest, the only thing I hated was the catheter but besides that even my husband enjoyed the birth because I wasn’t yelling at him ever 5 mins 😂 I will say my first was born after 6 pushes (5 mins or so), this time around I pushed for about 20 minutes. They say you push for longer with the epidural so for me this was true.

I had planned to go completely unmedicated but after 12 hours i caved and took morphine. Then during active labour had fentanyl. I have scoliosis so my back pain was so bad I was vomiting. No epidural which I’m happy about but i don’t regret the pain meds!

I made it to 9 1/2cm before the epi with my first one because they had to manually turn her, I was so disappointed because I planned a home birth and had to go to the hospital. I’m due today with my second and planning another home birth so 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 fingers crossed because I HATED the epidural.

I did all natural. This was my first. If I have anymore I will do all natural again.
