Exactly 20 weeks for anatomy scan?

Anyone else’s doc tell them them they have to be exactly 20 weeks for anatomy scan? This wait is going to feel like forever! September 26th... hustle up.

The closer you are to 20 weeks the more likely it is that all the structures they want to look at will be big enough. Alot of times 18 weeks is too early and things are too small to have a proper scan. Where I live there's only one hospital that does the anatomy screening so they are really busy. They won't book you in until you are at least 20 weeks because they can't afford to have to bring people in for a follow up scan. I'll be almost 21 weeks when mine is done on the 18th.

I have an appointment at the end of 18 weeks...then she said “two weeks after that we can do your anatomy scan” wait what? Can’t we just do it all at one appointment? Guess not.
