37+2 update ❤️

Ive has contractions for a few days. Consistent, but not the real thing. I’ve been bouncing on my labor ball for a few days, to be honest — I want my water to break first. I had my first baby at 38+5 and it became chaotic so fast. I’d like to be able to make sure my 2 year old is taken care of when heading to the hospital.

Anyway — I went to the bathroom and wiped brownish pink. No mucus. Called my doctor and the last thing she said to me was, “congratulations, things are beginning to happen!”. I hadn’t been dilated prior to now and she thinks that’s what’s causing the blood. It’s not the same as a bloody show or my mucus plug - things are loosening up. I have an appointment tomorrow to find out more.

As long as baby’s still moving and it doesn’t continuously trickle, enough to have to change a pad, she doesn’t believe it’s my water. She did say if I had a tight belly - trickle - tight belly - trickle, she’d be more concerned about it being amniotic fluid (FYI). Also, make sure there’s no green in anything coming out, which could be baby poop.

She doesn’t expect me to go further than a week or two 🙌😍👍🤗✊✅

Just wanted to share in case you notice the same. I’m beyond excited that my body’s finally responding because lord knows this baby’s getting too big for my belly!
