Hey y’all I am wondering what is a good form of birth control I can use as a back up with a condom while I’m ovulating?

You can’t take birth control only while you’re ovulating. Once you’ve ovulated, the birth control will generally do nothing to prevent you from getting pregnant. The only one that can help if you already have released an egg is the copper IUD, which makes your womb inhospitable to sperm, but you can’t put it in and take it out as you please. Contrarily: hormonal BC works by PREVENTING ovulation, so you would have to start it before you ovulate for it to do its job and continue it over time so it continues to work. 
There are, however, more kinds of barriers than just condoms. I believe the cervical cap can be used with a condom. It’s a round disc that you put spermicide in (not sure how that interacts with condoms; you’ll want to make sure it won’t eat through them) and then put over your cervix, placing a physical barrier between the sperm and your uterus, which the sperm would have to go through to reach your egg and make you pregnant. 
Another tip: sperm can live in your body for more than a week. You will be much safer from getting pregnant if you protect yourself every time you have sex instead of only when an egg is already in your tubes.
