When did you go “all in” on starting to potty train your boy(s)?

Feedback for your girl(s) is welcome too. Boys just take longer than girls to be “ready”, for the most part, so I’m mostly interested in those results :)

We got a potty seat for my son and had it in the bathroom so he was aware of it. He was he one that initiated going potty first (I was 8 months pregnant about to start a new school year and was just tired and didn’t want to add that to my to do list). We don’t push him but we give him lots of praise when he does go. Last night he actually pooped and peed on the potty! He turned 2 in July. He’s still in diapers, he’s not ready for training pants yet as we sometimes go a few days where he isn’t interested in going on the toilet at all but we are happy letting him choose when to go.

We start exposing around 1.5-2 and then waited for their signs to be ready. 
My 1st around 1.5 would let us know he went.. by 2 he'd bring us diapers.. he was a lot faster.... only because we had a huge move right before 2.5 we waited till then to full on train. He was trained within a month. No real methods. Put him on potty when he wanted and then like 1st waking up and before bed. But he was really ready.
My current 2 year old has zero signs... all he does is grab his butt when he farts hahaha..  but we talk about it.. ask him.. he watches us use bathroom etc.. I'm due in December and we've been talking about pushing it a little more but we shall see.

Not to discourage you, but just to let you know it can happen....my 3 year old niece (4 on Oct. 2) still isn't full potty trained. She REFUSES to go poop on the toilet and if she is wearing a pull up she will just go pre in it instead of going to the toilet. My SIL has tried almost everything to get her trained. The only idea left is to have her clean up her poop when she goes in her trainer underwear because she hates poop so much. This is not a normal case, but just wanted to throw it out there!
