PCOS help!

I was diagnosed with PCOS last year. I had surgery to remove all of the cysts from both of my ovaries and there were so many that my ovaries could barely function. They didn’t tell me exactly how many. I was having a period every 2 weeks and it was awful. So they removed all of the cysts surgically and they checked for endometriosis and they said they didn’t find any. They also did a D&C to help with my periods. It’s a year later now and I can’t be on birth control because it makes my cysts worse. My periods stay irregular and that’s what I’ve expected. They’re so painful to the point where it makes me sick. I have cramps all the time now it’s getting to be too much. No pain medicine will touch it anymore and I’m spotting between periods. I went to the hospital once because it got too bad and they just said oh it’s just your PCOS. It’s your new normal now so just get used it. I don’t know what to do anymore. Any advice would be helpful!
