birth story-

I had an appointment Tuesday I was 40 weeks and 5 days. After weeks of no dilation an a closed cervix I was finally dilated to 2 cm so my doctor did a very thorough membrane sweep. I also had to do a stress test on Tuesday due that baby girl hadn’t been mov bag as much and my blood pressure was slightly elevated. During the test I had multiple contractions. We were scheduled to be induced on Thursday but after the stress test my doctor didn’t think I was going to make it to Thursday due to the time apart my contractions were 😬😬. For the rest of the day Tuesday my contractions were 10 minutes apart. When I woke up on Wednesday I had 2 contractions 10 minutes apart and then they jumped right to 3 minutes apart. After calling my doctors office and they sent me to labor and delivery. When I was checked I was 3 cm dilated sadly my body stayed that way for majority of the day I went 9 hours of labor before I got the epidural because I wanted to go as long as I could natural😌 and I’m very proud of those 9 hours I wouldn’t have been able to do it with out my SO. After getting the epidural I practically slept threw the rest of my labor until I woke up 10 and felt very energetic And lots of pressure in my bum. I called the nurse and when she checked me baby was ready to go. We did some practice pushes and then the doctor came in I pushed for all of 23 minutes until I got to hold my little bundle of perfection and I’ve never felt so complete in my life 💗💞
