Is anyone getting anxious about the delivery itself? Wondering about an epidural or going natural? What is everyone's opinions?

I read something a woman said on here one time, it was: you don't get a medal for not getting an epidural. You still get a baby at the end of the day and that's what you're going in there for. So if it hurts and you are having a hard time, get the epidural. I did with my first, I'll do it again with this one. Good luck in whatever you do!

Mentally prepare for both. Just in case you have to get an emergency C Section or something, all of that goes out the window... i think. Due in 2 weeks and Whatever happens, happens, and it doesn’t make me/or you any less.

I would go with your gut at the time of labor. Making decisions now is almost useless because every woman's body is different.

One of my friends asked me, “How do you deal with menstrual pain? Do you walk off the cramps or lie down?” And honestly that helped me so much. I get awful cramps and definitely like to lie down. Thinking about it that way, being tethered to the epidural was much less scary. And it was AMAZING. I felt pressure but not pain, and I even fell asleep for two hours. They woke me up to push. 
That said, do what’s right for you!

I’m getting very anxious. I’m 36 weeks today, and found out I’m 1-2 cm dilated. I’ve been in pain with cramps and Braxton-Hicks contractions for 4 weeks now. Also my cervix check was extremely painful today. This whole time I’ve been telling myself I don’t want any pain relief during labor, but now I’m starting to doubt that I can do it because of all the pains I’ve been experiencing up to this point, and I know labor is going to be 100 times worse. I think what I’ve decided is I’m going in with an open mind. I don’t know how labor will go as it’s different for every pregnancy. I just have to trust my body and my support team, and let it happen. I been thinking about this for awhile and I'm only 26 weeks. So far i think I'm going to go natural for as long as i can. I rather be able to move around freely and not having to recover until the epi wears off. Plus the thought of being numb annoys me. You might not get a medal for going natural but you can recover faster and have more freedom in movements and that's what i want. Guess you have to figure out what's best for you but at the same time be open to anything because sometimes things just happen that you can't control

I’m getting induced with my 2nd tomorrow and I’m not nervous, idk ppl keep asking me if I am but I’m not at all nervous for labor. Yea the baby is over 10 lbs but so was my first and if I can’t take the pain anymore- boom the magical epidural fairy comes in and takes all the pain away! I’m always a little nervous to see the baby and make sure he’s ok and completely healthy!

Do as much research as you can. Take a class or a free online class. The library is a great free resource. The more I learned the more I realized my body doesn’t need all the traditional interventions. This is coming from a mom who’s been induced with epidural twice. This time I have a doula and my birth is going to be so much better. They scare women into believing we need all these interventions when all we really need is to not rush labor, turn the lights down, get in the zone, no loud shrills/screams if possible - get deep moans/sounds out and let your body do what it was built to do! You got this.
