IUD vs Nexplanon?

Question

Ladies I need some feedback! I’m on the fence whether to get Paragard or Nexplanon. 
I'm not sure how I feel about ”copper” being inside of me, or having to check those strings monthly! 
I love the fact that Paragard does not have any hormones were as the Nexplanon does. 
Can anyone give me some advice or information that would be great! 😊

I absolutely hated Nexplanon. I had crazy mood swings, gained a ton of weight and overall just felt horrible. I have the Mirena now and love it!

Nexplanon worked great for me at the beginning (had it little over 3 years) 
I lost like 30 pound by just being on it ,mid second year it messed me up horribly triggered my anxiety and depression. Started gaining crazy amounts of weight ,also had a constant period for 3 months at a time 
Def do not recommend.

I just got off the Nexplanon earlier this week after being on it for 15 months. It KILLED my sex drive and made me gain 10 pounds (although the weight wasn't an "issue" to me. Just the lack of sex drive was). So I just switched back to a very low-hormonal pill. My MIL had the IUD twice. It fell out both times lol and my best friend got pregnant off her IUD. So it's not something I'll personally try. I've always had the best experience with my pill so that's what I'm sticking with :)

I had the mirena IUD put in at my 6 week postpartum check after my son and had it taken out right before his 3rd birthday I didn't have any issues with it.. my hubby didn't love it since it would poke him every once in awhile 😂😂 but when mine was taken out my dr said it wasn't in all the way and she was surprised I wasn't already pregnant 🤷‍♀️ so I'm at a loss of what to do after baby #2 since I didn't have any issues with the IUD but then finding out it wasn't completely in where it should wasn't comforting and hubby it's glad it's gone haha.. birth control is a very hard decision!

My sister does the nexplanon and does wonderful for her I on the other hand cant because I have PCOS and it messes with my hormones way too much.. but it's definitely worth the try

Don’t do the IUD. Mine got lost and caused problems when I tried to conceive again. I had the copper IUD
