Do I need take home outfits for my babies?

I’m having twins in a few months and I think I’ll pack my hospital bag at 30 weeks. Do I need take home outfits? What should they be?🤷‍♀️

We didn’t do anything special. Just a regular one piece outfit. I don’t really understand these over the top bring home outfits. Seems so fussy.

I had 1 outfit my son to take him home in. Some hospitals don’t let you take their clothing home so I would either check with your hospital or just bring 1 outfit each for babies.

I’m only pregnant with my first but my overly prepared self would probably bring more than one outfit just in case 😂

Just bring some onesies with you. My hospital didn’t provide any baby clothing, and you can’t put them in car seats while swaddled.

That’s a personal choice. If you want your babies looking dapper walking past the expecting mums and the parking attendant then yes. Going home outfits make cute photos but they can just wear any onesie.
If our home birth doesn’t go to plan and we are in hospital then we have a pair of bottle green Kath Kidston dungarees in both newborn and 1-3 to pull over his white outfit, dead easy to arrange when over tired and look great.

Yaaas it doesn't have to be extravagant I've always just had a baby grow for each of mine but I have always kept their first outfit for keepsake and trust me every now and again when you Take it out and smell the outfit the memories come flooding back it's awesome!!

I originally packed two options expecting to just use the hospital shirts and receiving blankets while there. The shirts were giant on him and he had such long legs the blankets wouldn't hold him in a swaddle. We ended up having my husband bring clothes back and forth as well as large muslin blankets for the swaddle and he was much more comfortable during our extended stay (unexpected c section). I highly recommend bringing something with long sleeves just in case. My little boy preferred his arms out but warm. Nothing fussy though, easy to change in and out of!

We packed outfits for our entire hospital stay. Our hospital provided plain white onesies but we are super extra and wanted her to be dressed well lol

I don’t think hospitals typically supply clothes outside of simple white onesies. We had a special onesie made, but my guy was a NICU baby so it was a special day when he came home
