Boyfriend problems

My bf and I live together. He recently got a job that pays a little over minimum wage and is happy. The problem is its a 45-60 min drive and he doesn't have a car. Ive been driving him but I got super sick and let him take my car today. He killed the battery without knowing and I had to call AAA. The problem is i start school soon and making that drive is a huge inconvenience. He said his boss will transfer him to a place closer but it would still b a 30min drive. We live in the city and have many places, that pay well, and r closer but he doesn't want to give up his job. Ik he doesn't c my frustrations and I dont want to argue with him, but after having to calling AAA, its really made me think about how selfish I feel he's being. Am I wrong for feeling this way? How do I go about this without pissing him off? I dont want to argue.
