He wants me to be more dominant..

I live with my boyfriend and honestly, our sex life sucks. We’ve only been together 1 1/2 years so this is bad..we have sex maybe 2 times a month if we’re lucky. It’s because when one of us is turned on the other isn’t. Well recently he told me he thinks it would be sexy if I was dominant. I’m hoping maybe If I do it’ll better our sex life. I would be stepping out of my comfort zone big time..but it’s worth a shot! So any pointers on how to be dominant and sexy? I’m open to any suggestions.
