Trigger shot failure or delay?

Tomorrow I will be 20dpt and 19dpo...I was out of the country the following week and unable to get a progesterone level drawn although each month I do ovulate. Last months draw was 37.2. So I’m guessing the trigger shot didn’t cause me to ovulate within 36hrs since AF hasn’t shown. I took a hpt on what I thought was 14dpo and it was negative. I’ve been having intermittent light cramps for 3 days and sore nipples got over a week but no AF or any other signs. Too discouraged to test again for another BFN. We should have just baby danced every other day for the entire month but didn’t because I thought the trigger would definitely work with the times intercourse recommended by RE
