Anyone else have a traumatic or unexpectedly difficult birth experience?

I am glad to see all of the positive birth stories here, but it just makes me wonder if I am alone in not having fond memories of my daughter's birth.

She is ten days old now and I don't feel like I have forgotten at all how painful and scary it was having her. This birth was totally different than my first, and not at all what I planned. I went from 3 cm dilated and 60% effaced when I arrived at the hospital to giving birth in about an hour and 45 minutes. Everything went so quickly that I had a natural unmedicated birth because there wasn't time for the epidural I was screaming for. The nurse kept saying that the anesthesiologist was coming and he just didn't get there. My doctor barely made it in the room before the baby was born, and everyone was rushing around. Honestly it was kind of terrifying, and I am still struggling with it.

I love my daughter but kind of wish I could just forget about giving birth to her.

My second was the same way. No time for doctor nor pain meds. But honestly I'm thankful for it. I'm proud to be able to say I went naturally and it wasn't planned that way. Most people that have natural births have 9 months to prepare. We didn't have any time. But we did it. I think that makes us some tough women. My 3rd will be natural too, now that I know I can do it.

I am pregnant with number six and every delivery had something that threw me for a loop. My last delivery was twins. The delivery was amazing! Epidural, delivered a head down after one push and delivered b breech vaginally. 45 mins later once I was back in recovery I hemorrhaged. I was whisked back to the or and I couldn't get ahold of my husband who was in the waiting room with my father in law. Finally he saw me going down the hall and caught up with me. The doctors didn't have time to tell him what was going on. Every possible outcome passed through my mind and most of all I thought I would be leaving my husband alone with five kids five and under. I ended up with a d&c, a bakri balloon, and two transfusions. I was so out of it for the next few days that I couldn't care for my twins. I am praying this delivery goes totally smooth this time around!

My delivery was quite traumatic. As well as the 4 months after it. Pregnant with #2 and very nervous.
