How much supply do I need?!

I am going back to work in a month and (eek!) haven’t been pumping/storing any milk yet. I will be able to pump pretty frequently at work, so my question is how much should I realistically have stored in the freezer? My little guy is 12 weeks now and eats every 2-3 hours during the day. I will be gone about 10 hours each day.

If you’re always going to pump when you’re away from the baby, which is best for your supply, and nurse at home then the minimum you need is enough for our first day back at work. Your pumped milk on that day would be used for the following day. I always try to have an emergency stash just in case something happens where I can’t breastfeed her (like being on medication or something)

How much is he sleep eating? I started around 12 weeks building my supply. Start of small. As you determine how much your baby is eating you’ll know how much you can stash.
