INFO ON FIRST RESPONSE EARLY RESPONSE TESTS
I see a lot of women post on here encouraging each other to test before their missed period using the first response “6 days sooner” test. I just want to explain soemthing that may help clear up confusion.
First response tests are based on the average time a woman implants. If you dont implant 6 days before your period, you won’t get a postive that early even if they advertise it that way. If you have implanted already and have an average length cycle, it can detect it, yes. But most women don’t implant that early or have a “regular” length cycle. I didn’t get my postive until 17 DPO with one, meaning I didn’t even implant until day 13/14 past ovulation (it takes a day or two after ovulation to get a positive) which is why I got negatives even with an early response test until day 15. So it’s misleading. Yes you can get a positive early, but only if you’ve already implanted. If you haven’t, obviously it won’t detect anything, but that’s not to say you won’t implant the day after or two days after and get a positive. That’s why its better to just wait for your missed period. :) hope this helps
