Heat flashes

So almost every time I have my period I get heat flashes. I thought this happened to every girl. I'm 16 now and I thought it was a regular thing. I remember being 13 and telling my grandma about it and saying that I get heat flashes like her. I was just reading about it and it said that it might be an early sign that your infertile. I do get my period every month and it's only skipped a couple times. It's usually irregular because I am athletic. I was also reading that it can also cause heart disease and bone fractures/bone loss. I don't have problems with my bones that I know of but my heart beat is sometimes irregular.
