Do you think it’s wrong to let family know that you’ve had your baby instead of letting them know you’re in labor?

So, my grandpa married this woman 4 years ago and We’ve never been okay with her. She was friends with my grandma, came to her house before and after she died, went to the funeral, and immediately started dating my grandpa. They got married 4 months after dating. My whole family can’t stand her and she’s always tried to replace my grandma. She’s a compulsive liar about everything and tries so hard to be the center of attention at any family event.

My uncle just recently had a baby back in July and his baby swallowed meconium while in the womb so they took him to the NICU super fast. She comes in their room not even 5 minutes after he was born and starts asking if she can hold him and take pictures with him. My uncles gf was pissed and frustrated cause she didn’t even get to see her baby and just pushed him out and here comes this lady asking a million questions. She also called everyone in the family and told us he was on the ventilator and made it sound like he was dying! My uncle called everyone back and said he was fine they were just trying to get the meconium out🙄🙄

I’m my grandpas first grandkid, and if it wasn’t for her this wouldn’t be a bad deal. But she is bound and determined to be there when I have my son in 2 weeks and she will not leave me a lone about it. I told my parents and husband and sisters that I don’t want them to know until after he’s born and they’re totally okay with that. But I feel like my grandma is looking down at me upset cause I won’t be able to tell my grandpa without her knowing. It’s just a complicated situation and I just wish my grandma was still here to meet her grandson and not this woman 😩
