TTC again

Hi guys. Just wanting some advice!

we have the most awesome little boy - he’s 2 and a half - and we’ve been TTC since March this year. I fell pregnant in April but miscarried at 6 weeks and we started trying again soon after the D and C - but it seems to be taking a lot longer than the first - and second time round to happen. Is this normal?
