Today was my first day of graduate school. I received almost a full scholarship, only having to pay for my last semester.

Today was a combination of sadness and happiness. To be given the opportunity to go back to school and receive such a merit, I will always be thankful for. However, I notice the the school doesn’t have a lot of diversity or people who look like me,which made me feel kind of sad and almost out of place.

Has anyone felt these feelings?From the realization that socioeconomic issues impact who gets to go to these schools?
