Hello everyone! So a few days ago my SO was telling how in a few months it’s his daughter 6th birthday and I was curious to see if she had any presents she wanted in mind. And to be honest I was a little impressed. He told me she gaved him 2 options.. 1) A puppy 2) a cellphone. A puppy didn’t seem as bad at first but then I stared thinking how they do live in a apartment and we are not even sure if they allow animals and also, if her mom is even aware about her wanting a puppy (since she’s obviously going to have to look after it and all). And the cellphone I was completely shook because I even thought I’m sure her mom and my SO probably allow her to use it at times it’s different if she actually OWNS one. She does own other devices that allow her to connect to the internet so I’m not sure why she would want a phone. And I clarify that I know it’s completely up to him what he wants to gift her but, I would love some input/advice etc on this topic mostly because it made me realize how kids so young kinda skip over that beautiful childhood face and rather be attached to a device.
