Is it a bad or good idea to put baby laundry detergent on your registry?

Im making a list of everything I woyld like to eventually put in my registry so when I actually go to do it I dont miss anything, and am wondering if it is silly to put this on there. 
Any suggestions on brands will also be helpful. TIA

We’re just using what we already use (All Free & Clear because it’s cheap and I have sensitive skin), but if you really think you need to use a baby specific detergent, put it on there. I used our registries as more of a shopping list anyway because not many people bought off it.

Great idea!  I put a big bottle of newborn Dreft, which was great because I washed all of his clothes before he was born.  It’s not cheap either, so I was happy to not have to pay for it, lol.

I’ve seen people put booze on their wedding registry. So I think you can put detergent on your baby registry. 😂
Also, my shower isn’t until November so invites won’t go out for a while yet. But I’ve already started my registry. That way if I come across something while browsing online or someone suggests something on this page, I go add it to my registry right away so I won’t forget.

Absolutely! Put everything on your registry that you’re planning to use for the baby. Even if you don’t receive it from another person, you can use your completion discount later to buy it for yourself at a discount price. 
That being said, I don’t recommend “baby” detergent. Instead, I recommend that you start using a non-toxic detergent for the whole family since everything you wear will be touching the baby as well. Check the EWG website for non-toxic options because most Baby detergents have just as many, if not more, toxic chemicals than regular detergent. My favorite nontoxic options are Biokleen, Planet Ultra, Molly’s Suds, Attitude, Better Life, and Ecover. Pretty much every regular name brand option (All, tide, Arm and Hammer, Kirkland, etc) are all pretty toxic, even the “free and clear” versions☹️.

I use dreft. They also have stain remover spray it worked amazingly on these sheets I bought at a consignment sale. The person hide the stains so I didn’t see them till I got home. Luckily the dreft stain remover worked wonders and I learned my lesson to check every inch of the product I’m buying.

I put it on mine. No one purchased it and I ended up purchasing it for us later. But the registry also is great to use as a check list. Don’t feel silly or stupid for putting anything you think you or baby will need in it :)

It's not "bad". Just unnecessary lol you don't need a whole new detergent just because you're having a baby. The only reason to switch is if their skin doesn't agree with the one you have. We've used Tide Pods with our daughter since she was a newborn with zero issues.
