Story time:

A while ago there was this almost thing with a guy from class. He is 32 (I am 19), and later I found out he is registered as a sex offender and the whole thing seemed weird. Wanting to get off campus, the first place being his apartment which is like half an hour away. Anyway, after I brought it up and said we couldn’t hang out anymore he was rude and we stopped talking.

A month later he said hey, I said hey and he never responded. Now today at like 4 am he texted asking how I was doing.

I don’t want him to think I want to talk to him but I also hate being rude. Should I just ignore it? This is when I hate optimism.

Any advice is welcome.
