Water or Contractions?

What is more common to happen first:

Id say contractions. I rarely here of water's breaking anymore.

Contractions came first with both of my kids. The doctors had to break my water both times. It's not as common for water to break first. That's mostly for the movies.

Idk. My mom's water broke first then the contractions came. Most people I know though say that they lost their plug then started having contractions and got their water broken at the hospital.

the dr. ended up breaking my water when i got to the hospital. I'd been having contractions for hours already.

My water broke with baby #1. We're waiting to see what happens with baby #2 but I've had very little contractions and BH contractions so far (at 39+4).

At 40w 2 days my water broke and then an hour later my contractions started/ I guess by other comments I am a rare case even tho I though it was common lol hope the same for this pregnancy
