What things worked for you to conceive? Tips/advice please!

My husband and I have tried everything and so far nothing has worked. We’ve been trying for one year. The first couple months we didn’t even think about it, stress over it, or anything. We just had unprotected sex whenever. After that, I started taking prenatal vitamins, and we both stopped dinking alcohol (we only ever drank at social gatherings anyway). I would lie in weird positions after sex to keep the sperm in even though I knew that was a myth. I made sure we had sex the week I was supposed to be ovulating (never confirmed ovulation though) if not almost every other day of my cycle. Then after about 6 months of that, I downloaded this app to track everything better. Last month I used OPK’s and had sex the whole week leading up to ovulation and after (and whatever other days we felt like it). I still started my period. This month my husband is taking some vitamins that are supposed to help with sperm and we are using preseed for the first time. I’m also making an appointment for us to get some fertility testing done.
I don’t mean to scare you, though! Some people are just lucky or naturally fertile and get pregnant fast / easy. For others it just takes longer, even with no fertility issues. I had a miscarriage from an unplanned pregnancy years ago (had unprotected sex once during my period) so as you can imagine I never thought it’d take so long to conceive this time around. Hopefully you don’t have as difficult as a time as I have! And I’ll take pointers on where else to go from here if anyone has them lol!

For me, not paying attention to my ovulating days and just having fun once every 2-3 days the whole month.

For me both times- missionary. Then legs in the air with hips under a pillow for 15 minutes after. 
For both times- was working out more. Eating healthy already taking a prenatal. Husband was also eating healthy. Limiting alcohol. 
Also tracking ovulation really helped us along with body temp so I knew when I was pregnant
