What size bottles (breast milk) do you send to day care?

My 6 month old goes to daycare from 8-2:30. She eats right before I drop her off, and eats when she comes home. She usually has two 4oz bottles while she’s there. They want me to send 5 oz bottles, but I think that’s too much. What do you ladies think?

It sounds like they need education about paced feeding like you say. Breastmilk and formula amounts are VERY different. I’d hate to see them stretch his stomach/appetite until your supply can’t keep up ☹️ 
Even at 12 months old, my strictly breastfed baby was only drinking 4.5oz of breastmilk a feeding. She never needed more than that in a feeding.

They should be pace feeding her. What size nipple do you use? Could you put on a smaller one to slow her down if the daycare provider isn’t willing to pace feed?

The general rule is that they need 1-1.5 oz per hour they are away from you. She may be going trough a growth spurt if she is seeming like she is still hungry after finishing he 4 oz. you could possibly need to do a temporary increase.
