Body positivity ❤️

Jamie

After I captured this moment, I immediately thought to myself “eww, I look gross” & deleted the photo. With that feeling, also came more feelings of guilt & shame for showcasing such positive energy & self love (regardless of the situation) on social media... but not necessarily practicing it in reality.

Today, I restored the picture and now posting it. Why? Because that’s the reality of it all. The human experience is part of our spiritual journey, meaning we don’t have to expect to go through life living in divine connection all the time. Nobody is perfect. We all have weird “imperfections” that serve as reminders that we are HUMAN. we all have a little chub, cellulite, scars, stretch marks, characteristics that make us who we are... and the list goes on and on.

But we are also not just bodies... we are souls that rest in bodies. We are so much more than what we feel at times, and we are so much more than what our ego tells us. We are infinite beings living in the finite form. We are smart, we are kind, we are passionate, we are loving. And we are all these things before we are “just some body”.

Those struggling with body dysmorphia just like I do, just remember (& constantly remind yourself) that you are beautiful regardless of what you see in yourself as the finite form. You have so much to offer the world because you are you & that’s all we need. Don’t let a negative body image day keep you from showing up & pursuing your life purpose. 💛
