Hurricane Florence + possible labor??

Bry • Miscarried 12-12-17 💔 Proud mother of my rainbow baby born October 5th, 2018

I'm from South Carolina, right near the NC/SC state line. So far, it seems we're right in the path of the hurricane. I'm also 37 weeks pregnant with my first baby, and i'm terrified that i'm going to to into full on labor during the storm. I've been having off and on contractions since Saturday, and at my appointment on Monday, they told me that I could be in early labor based on my symptoms. I'm also being closely monitored to see if I have Preeclampsia. I have another appointment tomorrow (Thursday), so I'll know how dialated and effaced I am then, hopefully. The storm is supposed to reach us sometime Thursday night / Friday morning. I'm kinda freaking out. My husband and I are prepared for the storm as much as possible, but i'm not sure we're up for a storm and a hospital trip. What are the chances that they would decide to induce me before the storm hit/during the storm? My doctor mentioned induction last Thursday if my blood pressure doesn't decrease... Anyone been in a similar situation? Any calming advice? Haha. My hope is that my son will either come early, before the storm, or hold on until we can get power and recover from all this flooding we're supposed to get..
