Baby sticking fingers down throat.....!?!?!

My 11-month-old has started gagging himself when he's bored, like when I put him in his playpen while I prepare dinner or when we're waiting in the grocery store checkout line. I tell him no firmly and he just laughs and continues to do it until he throws up. Please help!

My niece did this and we realized she did it more when we reacted strongly to it. We started just pulling her hand out when we saw her start to do it, without giving it much other attention. She eventually stopped. She just liked the rise she got out of us.

Ugh, my daughter went through this phase too and it was beyond annoying (and scary). Besides removing her fingers from her mouth and telling her no, there wasn’t much that I could do. She grew out of that fascination though, thank god.

My daughter did this for a while around the same age, we just tried to ignore it since she enjoyed our reactions so much. Eventually she stopped 🤷‍♀️

Maybe try keeping mittens on his hands and maybe that would help or a teething toy? Idk they are just suggestions

My baby brother would make himself throw up/gah for attention so when he did it we had to act like it wasn't working, of course we made sure he was alright but telling him not to do it or being upset only made him do it more eventually he stopped when he wasn't getting the reactions he wanted
