Baby naps and sleep

Since we brought our baby home he has hated sleeping anywhere except in mine or my husbands arms. To begin with I would try and put him in his bassinet for naps in the day, but he would stay in there for maximum 30 mins and then wake up, and then he’d be crabby all day because he wasn’t sleeping long enough. He’s almost 8 weeks now and I have basically given up even trying to put him down for a nap because it’s hard to get him to sleep and I don’t want him to wake up so quickly! I just let him sleep on me for his naps.

At night we bed share because he won’t sleep any other way. I know this is frowned upon in general but we do it as safely as possible.

I just feel bad I guess that he won’t sleep without me and like I am failing a bit as a parent 😞 is anyone else in a similar situation?
