Can I take the pill if I take migraines?

I've just had my daughter 4 weeks ago and started to think about going on the pill but I've take migraines with aura and I've read that you can't go on some contraception so I was wondering what kind can i go on cause I have no clue and my doctors appointment isn't for another couple of weeks xx

The problem with migraines with aura and the pill is specifically the combination pill. You can take progestrone only pills with no extra risk.

Nothing with estrogen, it increases your risk of a stroke. I have the same problem. No combo pills, no patch and no ring. Your other options are hormonal or non hormonal iuds, implant, shot or mini pills
