Super Baby?

My baby has been holding his head up on his own since he was born. He is now 5 Weeks old and we started having tummy time. Is he supposed to be holding himself up this early?

The day my daughter was born she was already lifting her head. She amazes me everyday! Her sister was born a week sooner than she was and was not nearly as strong or alert! My first was born at 38 + 1 and my second was born at 39

Mine has been doing the same since birth - guess they were training their necks on the inside! We started tummy time once her stump fell off and she holds her head up for minutes at a time.

My daughter does she was 3 months in this picture but only considered 2 weeks old at the time since she was a preemie. Now all she wants to do is put weight on her legs. Some babies are just really strong

My son has been able to do this since the day he was born. He's now 18 days old and he's even stronger. My midwives and health visitors couldn't believe how advanced he is and how strong he is at such a young age and how he controls his head from birth until now.

My daughter is 5 weeks and definitely cannot do that. She seems to really enjoy being on her tummy and is totally content lying there. You have to really motivate her to start lifting her head.
