I don’t even understand why?

My boyfriend and I had twin boys about a year ago and he never wants to take them out anywhere. I mean if we’re going somewhere that we can bring them he’s always asking his mom to watch them or asking me to ask my mom to watch them. He never wants to take our kids anywhere and I just don’t understand why? I get it if it’s somewhere where We can’t really bring them or if it’s specifically a night out for us but like today it’s a nice day and he wants to go out and he wants my mom to watch them but I told him she’s not going to watch them cuz they’re sick. I told him let’s take them to the park and he says oh they’re sick.. well they’re not sick enough to go to the park but it’s also not my moms responsibility to watch my kids while they’re sick. 
I just don’t know what to do.

You stay home and take care of your sick babies.  They should not be brought to the park when not well.  And you are right to not have your Mom or his Mom babysit them when they are sick. As for days when your babies are well and you want to take them out somewhere put your foot down and say they are coming with. You have a say in the relationship and in your babies lives. Going out and getting sun and air is good for them. So when babies are well stand up for yourself and refuse to call in the grandmas.

Then take them out without him there. That's not fair to the kids to not go out and be cooped up all the time while you guys are out and about. You're their mom and have a say so what happens in their lives just as much as he does. If he has a problem with then being out then that's his problem, unless their is a good reason where it makes since like allergies or sick for real or anniversary night or something. I get it. But other than that, there shouldn't be any reason why they don't go out with you all. You don't always have to do things with your boyfriend/husband. That can be your time with your boys and build your relationship with them.

I’ve been guilty of this. Not the sick ordeal (I’d jut stay home with them if they’re sick) but me and my husband have three kids and up until they were old enough to behave better in public, I used to prefer to either go out shopping/run errands/etc alone while he watched them at home (or vice versa) or for someone to watch our kids if we had to do things outside of the house. This doesn’t include the park where they had things to play on and room to run around. It was overwhelming to me to take them to stores or grocery shopping and have to constantly chase after them or constantly police what they were touching in a store or break up their bickering. It always left me so stressed (almost to tears) and maybe your husband just feels overly stressed to take the kids places. Turns out my situation had a lot to do with my chronic anxiety 🤷🏻‍♀️ just talk to him about it and get to the bottom of why he doesn’t like to go out with them. He could just feel overwhelmed.

If they are sick, they should stay home. Have you asked your partner why he doesn’t want to take the twins out with you guys?
