Would it be possible to find out the gender at 12 weeks?

This is my first pregnancy so I'm just curious and when can you find out? Like the earliest

They can do blood work now and find out the gender as early as 7 weeks! My cousin had this done and we found out when she was around 9 weeks along. I never heard of this before her though, so I'm not sure how common this is. And Congratulations 🎊 😊

They can do testing called fetal free DNA for genetic conditions as early as 9 weeks and while doing that testing they can tell you the gender of the baby. But no there is not awake at 12 weeks to find the gender on ultrasound.

Only with a DNA test and some luck. The blood work done at this stage usually relies on cells in the mother's blood that aren't hers; the amount of not-mom's DNA present varies between pregnancies. So, not finding a Y chromosome does not provide the same level of accuracy as finding one does.

I found out by ultrasound at 13w1d. I was skeptical but we just had their genders confirmed at my 20 week appt and they were correct! (Boy/girl twins).

My cousin who was 12 weeks got a new blood test that checks the Chromosomes and makes sure the baby is fine, it can also tell the gender of the baby. She found out once the blood results came back she was having a girl. They took blood work from my cousin and saliva from the father to determine it, apparently they can determine the gender from 9+ weeks.

I did a 3d ultrasound at 14 weeks and found out it was a boy. They said if it had shown a girl that there was a higher error bc the parts may not form until 18-20 weeks but once boy parts are there it's unlikely they'll change.

I actually had an ultrasound today @ 12 wks 5 dys and they were able to see the between the legs.  They said "the possibility is it's a ..."  So they didn't quote directly.  This tech though has had years of experience and did my sisters ultrasound when she was 12 weeks and told her the possible gender.  Ended up being correct.  So I guess it really depends.  I heard of the blood work like a lot of people have been bringing up, but I am going to wait till 20wks for a sure view 💛... But my intuition told me what the gender was at the beginning and the tech agrees with me by seeing the parts ✨💥🎉.  So we will see 🍼

I found out my babies gender with a 4D ultrasound at 15 weeks. That's just about the earliest I've heard of finding out. Unless maybe you can find out earlier with blood testing; which is a fairly new concept.
