Help me please .. FOR MOTHERS

my son eye has been like this for 2-3 .i tried the warm cloth & massaging near the nose something like that .. and it’s still same .. in the morning his eye was closed shut do to the crust and mucus .. I clean in the middle of the night but it’s still the same way in the morning .. my mother had the same thing but her eye is a little swollen and pinkish . Could it be pink eye? Or clogged tear duct ? My sister ( my only transportation at the moment) is off Thursday.. but I was debating if I should take the bus and get it checked out .. PLEASE COMMENT YOUR THOUGHTS AN SUGGESTIONS
