Contractions 6-10 mins apart for over 2 hours. Hospital??

I know the general rule is 3-5 mins apart for at least an hour but since mine have been coming for over 2 hours now should I head to L&D? Or wait until they are closer?  I am 39+5

You can always call and ask.  We have been specifically instructed to call labor and delivery when the contractions are 5 min apart lasting 1 minute for 1 hour.  They will then ask a few questions and let us know if we should go in.

Definitely wait until they get closer. I’ve read so many story’s about people getting sent home over this.

I would wait till they're closer, at least 5 minutes apart, only because if it is true labor, you'll wish you could stay at home just a little bit longer. Much better than being strapped to a bunch of monitors 😬
