Need courage?

Ok so I’ll try to make this as short as I can without missing too much. My mom passed away in July of 2017. My parents had been divorced for at least 20 some odd years so as confused as I am she put my dad as the executor of her will. She only had her house and car as assets so not much. Her house sold in April of this year and she had 5 people as beneficiaries in her will. Well, everyone has received their money except for my brother and myself. My problem is I really need to know what’s going on with the will and when it will be finalized, in order to do that I need to talk to my dad or the lawyer. The problem is my dad is responsible for writing the checks so I don’t want to piss him off and delay this any further. I need that money badly and another delay is not acceptable. What would you do?
