My birthing story
I don’t know really where to start but I got induced last Sunday on September 9,2018 at 37 weeks exactly. I had been having trouble with high blood pressure. They tested me for preeclampsia but my results came back negative. And due to my high blood pressure it was keeping her heart rate elevated as well. Anyways when I first got to the hospital to get induced they gave me cervidal to try and soften my cervix up. As I was not dilated at all. That’s was 12 hours. After that they checked me and my cervix was only wide enough for a fingertip. So they started me on pitocin and slowly graduating it. And was pretty much doing nothing for me. So after that they tried to give me something else to soften my cervix some more and it seemed like it was doing something because they said that I was 75% effaced and barely 1cm. But my body still wasn’t cooperating so they tried to do a foley bulb induction and literally after 24 hours I was only at 2 cm. So when my doctor came in she suggested that they break my water to see how I would progress. After that I started having contractions and they were very close together but my cervix wasn’t working with my body. That afternoon my cervix had only got to 5cm from the time after starting my contractions and I wouldn’t dilate anymore. My doctor literally wanted to try everything for me to have a vaginal birth but my body just was not having it. So after literally trying everything I finally gave up and decided to get a c section. I couldn’t be any more excited to finally see my daughter. After 2 1/2 days of being in labor my baby girl was finally born on 9/11/2018 at 7:47 pm. Weighing 5 lbs and 18 1/2 inches long.

After the first night in the room they took her to run some tests on her and have been in the special nursery care unit ever since. She has had a problem keeping her blood sugars up by herself and trouble breathing fast. As well as eating on her own and thru a bottle. So she has an iv going thru her belly button and currently still has a feeding tube thru her nose to eat. She just got off oxygen yesterday and hopefully tomorrow she will be off her iv fluids because her sugar levels have been great! Everybody please pray for her and that she gets to come home soon!
