SUPER SCARED!!! TSS??

Question

Okay so I got home from school & I have had MAJOR cramps, usually I don’t ever get cramps.... I have a fever of 101.3.... My muscles hurt a little.. I’ve had the chills and my throat is super sore.... I just started my period today and I didnt keep my tampon in longer than 8 hours... In my past periods I’ve kept my tampons in for about 7-8 hours..... Should I be worried???? Please help!!!!

I really don’t think it could be tss. I would go to the doctor just to be sure though

I don’t think it’s TSS, but just a tip that I like to use just in case, I usually only keep my tampon in for 4-5 hours tops (mostly because it is soaked through at this point) but also because the 8 hours is just an estimate. I choose to keep it in shorter just to avoid these irrational thoughts. It is only my preference and I am not discrediting you (it iss on the box). But I do recommend it. Hope your discomfort passes. 😊

TSS usually happens when you leave a tampon in for more than 10-12 hours.
I’ve left mine in for 8 hours before and was fine.
It’s normal for your immune system to be weaker during your period. So a low grade fever and colds are normal during your period.
